| Alternative Strings: The New Curriculum Based on her newest book scheduled for January 2004 release, Ms. Lieberman presents in-residency teacher training workshops designed to prepare string educators for the new millenium. This workshop places emphasis on the integration of world and American vernacular styles, jazz, improvisation, and creativity into the curriculum. |

| The Creative Band and Orchestra Julie works with conductors, ensemble leaders, and whole orchestras using dozens of techniques designed to enliven ensemble interaction, stimulate deeper listening, and introduce players to greater spontaneity, creativity, and improvisation! | Playing Healthy In this one-of-a-kind workshop, Ms. Lieberman focuses on the application of natural forms to the physical challenges involved in creating music. Key concepts in relationship to practice and performance are addressed, such as: changing muscle response and musicianship through the use of imagery; the chemistry of nervousness; the six memory centers; changing the internal critic into a coach; physical health in relationship to practice and performance; how to reprogram muscle memory; unconscious belief systems about success and their effect on productivity; and more... |

| The Contemporary Violinist String players are eagerly breaking out of the mold and investigating new approaches to technique and style. In this lively workshop, Ms. Lieberman encourages participants to leave the confines of the written page and leads them on a journey into their creativity and listening. Improvisation in up to sixteen styles can be explored: bebop, bluegrass, blues, Cape Breton, Cajun, country, Flamenco, Gypsy, Irish, Klezmer, Latin, old-time, rock, Scandinavian, swing, tango, jazz, etc. Various approaches to improvisation are included in the presentation. |

| The Planet Musician Workshop Adventure into world scales and rhythms; investigate the endless possibilities that concepts and techniques from around the world can provide; learn how to utilize a drone, an ostinato, and odd and alternating rhythms as backdrops for improvisation; explore the difference in skills required by tradition versus innovation, interpretation versus improvisation. |

| Improvisation for String Players Blues, swing, modal, jazz, East meets West, folk, and even rock styles is explored. Group and individual playing is encouraged in a safe environment that encourages the beauty of expression and individuality over trying to fit into a preconceived mold. |
